Ring installed in BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s heart following 90pc block

Physicians at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka installed ring in the heart of BNP Chairperson and former chairperson Khaleda Zia following her acute heart attack.

She was taken to the hospital at early hours of Saturday following sickness and later 90 percent heart block was detected.

Quoting doctors, sources said she is under supervision of Dr Sahabuddin Talukder and her condition is not stable.

Medical Board constituted for her treatment spoke of the need for overseas treatment.

Talking to journalists, home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said family members of Khaleda Zia may take her abroad subject to the permission of the court following her conviction in the criminal cases.
